A weekend getaway to Cyprus

I have just returned from an amazing weekend in Paphos, visiting the stunning Constantinau Bros group of hotels situated right on the promenade.

I was lucky enough to stay at the newly refurbished 5 star Asimina boutique hotel , where the service , food and overall hospitality was tremendous. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and polite and really wanted to help you to enjoy your stay.

The Asimina is an adults only, all suite hotel and would suit couples or friends looking for a relaxing break in the sunshine.

I also visited the 4 star family Athena Beach hotel and got to view the children’s area complete with waterpark as well as the quieter adult only area with its own pool. Then there was the beautiful main pool with plenty of space and sun loungers in the beautifully manicured gardens. This hotel had a full entertainment programme daytime and evening and includes a full sized bowling Green and Bike storage facility.

Again the service here is very friendly and all the customers were relaxed and enjoying themselves.

The hotel next door was the 4 star adults only Athena Royal , again with its own pools and gardens with lots of spaces to relax. They also shared the ise of the bowling Green and a full dance studio.

Finally we visited the 4 star Pioneer beach which was lovely and busy , with lots of activities going on and is a favourite with British guests.  Again all the customers looked very relaxed and happy and the pools and gardens were beautiful.

All of these hotels also feature an indoor pool and spa which I tried out and the massages were very reasonable and excellent. They are traditional in furnishings and spotlessly clean.

I can thoroughly recommend this group of hotels and will be able to recommend the right one for you should you be interested in more information.

Paphos itself is a wonderful resort in Cyprus,  with a lovely harbour area as-well as the promenade which runs all along the sandy beaches and rocky areas in front of the hotels.

It is very flat on the promenade, so easy to walk along and also very safe to visit.

Cyprus has many resorts, offering all types of holidays and adventure and it’s easy to hire a car to explore, as they even drive on the same side of the road as us in the UK.

We had a trip up to the Troodos mountains where life is a slower pace in the small villages and the views are spectacular. There are fabulous wineries to visit , to sample the locally produced wines and small cobbled streets with hand made gifts and home grown produce and beautiful churches and a monastery.  It’s well worth a day trip while you are in Cyprus

It’s been a wonderful weekend getting a taste of of what the island has to offer and I can’t wait to go back and explore more.

It’s very much open for business and the hotels are waiting to welcome you. It is a safe and thriving destination,  with so much to offer and very much worth a visit, with direct flights from all over the Uk into both sides of the island making for easy transfers.

Please contact me for more information and have a look at my photos and the video showing all it has to offer.
