An experience like no other

Safari Holidays For Over 50s & Solo Travellers

TRIED. TRAVELLED. TRUSTED.

Travellers seeking a holiday filled with wildlife and wonder often have one thing on their mind – The Big Five, a collection of the most elusive and difficult to spot animals on an African safari: lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo.

But there’s more to discover on a wildlife safari, and plenty of countries across the world to opt for. Perhaps you’re intrigued by orangutans in Borneo, gorillas in Rwanda, or tigers in India. Wherever you choose, have your camera on hand, as you won’t want to miss these spectacular sightings.

Safari holidays for everyone

Solo Travellers

A safari for solo travellers presents a perfect blend of group drives and communal dining, with plenty of time for peace and quiet.

Couples

Often cited as a ‘bucket list’ experience, a safari is a special holiday which many look forward to later in life, with time to spare to explore the destination deeper.

Family

There are many safari lodges and resorts designed for families to ensure every generation can appreciate the surrounds and wildlife.

Groups

Travelling on a safari with a group of friends, or like-minded wildlife enthusiasts, only adds to the enjoyment of the experience.

Recommended destinations

The world’s most popular safari destination, Africa has a vast choice of national parks from Kruger in South Africa, Masai Mara in Kenya or the famous Serengeti in Tanzania.

“A few years ago I added a Zambezi Canoe Safari to a family visit to Zimbabwe. Wide-eyed with wonder, I joined a group of four, two-seater open canoes gently paddling down the river, carrying all we needed for several days out. We had to keep watch for lurking hippos - not great to be tipped up there - and we heard lions roar in the night as we camped on the bank. Simultaneously terrifying and terrific – one of the best times of my life.”
