As a treat for a special birthday my daughter bought my husband and I a trip on the Flying Scotsman. It was really special as my husband has loved steam trains from childhood and the Flying Scotsman is iconic
Been fortunate to travel on the original Harry Potter steam train across the Glenfinnan viaduct. As a HP fan this was very memorable.

I am hoping my most memorable train journey is going to happen later this month – The Wine Train in the Vipava Valley, Slovenia. It’s billed as ‘A beautiful five-hour train journey through a wine country with stops along the way. On a train journey you will meet local winemakers in person and taste the best of what Vipava Valley has to offer.’ Sounds perfect!
