Jane Eyre, the ultimate classic love story.
my favourite is Clan of the Cave Bear
l love historical fiction and the story line in this prehistoric book are just as relevant today
My favourite book, in the sense of “the one I return to most when I’m thinking about how stories work,” is The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin.
Takeaway: It’s the book that most reshaped my sense of what fiction can do — how a story can be political, philosophical, strange, and deeply human all at once
