  1. Weston Super Mare, I haven’t been back there since the early 80s learning my trade in the RAF at RAF Locking

  2. I’d love to go to Torquay as we visited last year and didn’t have enough time to see everything we wanted to see!

  3. I’d love the chance to visit Llandudno because it feels like the perfect mix of classic seaside charm and relaxing escape. There’s something special about strolling along the Victorian promenade, taking in the fresh sea air, and enjoying views of the Great Orme—it’s the kind of place where you can properly switch off and recharge.

I’m especially drawn to the slower pace and nostalgic atmosphere. Whether it’s wandering along the pier, exploring the coastline, or just sitting with an ice cream watching the waves, Llandudno seems like a reminder of how simple and enjoyable a UK holiday can be.

And, of course, no trip would be complete without a visit to The Palladium (Wetherspoon). A good, affordable meal in such a unique, historic setting would be the perfect way to end a day by the sea.

All in all, Llandudno feels like the ideal getaway—beautiful, peaceful, and full of character—and I’d absolutely love the opportunity to experience it for myself.

  4. Blackpool….it’s bursting with fun, it’s always so bracing, all the time it keeps your heart racing!

  5. I’ve been to a few Daish’s Hotels and I’d like to try the Abbey Lawn in Torquay next.

  6. Blackpool as it’s suchg a fun town and there would be so much to see and do.

  7. I’d love to revisit Weston-Super-Mare as I have fond memories of holidays there when our children were young.

  8. I would love to visit Weymouth I went around 50 years ago with my mum and dad. I remember it as beautiful

  9. I would choose Scarborough as a walk around marine drive past all of the traditional cafes and shops brings back memories

  10. We love Daish’s and go when we’re able. Our favourite hotel is on the Isle of Wight, but we’re always happy to be sat on the coach going to any of their wonderful hotels.

  11. Snowdonia because the scenery is fabulous, have only been once and loved the area

  12. Torquay, The English Riveria.
Daish’s Devonshire Hotel, visited a couple of years ago and had the most amazing Turkey & Tinsel break.

  13. It’s a tough choice as there are so many interesting places on offer but I think Cornwall or Eastbourne would be my first picks. Cornwall because of the lovely coastline and cream teas without the need to navigate those narrow roads. And Eastbourne because I’ve heard great things about it and I’m not familiar with the area so ready to explore that coastline.

  14. I have very fond memories of staying in Daish’s hotel in Shanklin on The Isle of Wight. We went as a large group of walkers who were all members of The U3A and every day we went on a fairly long walk all around the island. It was January and very muddy and one member slipped and fell into a large puddle! Fortunately it was mild for the time of year so he made it back to the hotel without freezing to death but with a fair bit of ribbing from his fellow walkers!
It is many years since I last visited so I would love to go back – I doubt if it has changed much at all!

  15. Isle of Wight because I’ve been, albeit a long time ago as a teenager, but my partner hasn’t. It’d be lovely to share old memories.

  16. I would love to be your lucky winner and visit Cornwall , we have stone beaches here in Brighton and I have heard the beaches in Cornwall are so sandy, vast and beautiful , it would be perfect for a retirement adventure

  17. Newquay as never been to North Devon… would be ideal to explore the area… Also loving the idea of a heated indoor pool tbh

  18. Torquay. I haven’t been there since I was a child. We actually stayed in Paignton in a caravan and I remember the car my father had hired broke down before we’d left Kent so we had an emergency replacement. It took hours to get to our very primitive caravan on a hillside overlooking Paignton but we had a lovely week, spending time visiting relations in Ashburton and making sandcastles out of the red sand on Paignton’s beach. Obviously we also went to see neighbouring Torquay but I can only remember boats in a harbour and ‘palm’ trees, which I later learned are not true palms. It would be good to see the resort again.

  19. Anywhere in Scotland as so peaceful and beautiful and just being in the natural world soothes the body and mind and makes me a better person.

  20. I would love to visit St Ives in Cornwall. It comes highly recommended by friends who highlighted its scenic beauty, picturesque harbour, restaurants and impressive art scene!

  21. I’d love to go to the Somerset Hotel in Llandudno. My wife has only briefly seen that part of the country in a mad dash to catch a ferry to Ireland from Holyhead, so it would be great to be able to take her up and see the area.

  22. I’ve just started thinking about taking this type of trip. We underestimate how fabulous UK breaks can be. I went to Weston Super Mare on a day trip as a very young child – we didn’t ‘holiday’ as a family, ever, so it is my one memory of such an excursion. Unfortunately, I can only remember buying a little toy pinwheel. I was too little to reach the counter properly, but emptied out an old purse of my mum’s that contained ‘my’ money – a collection of pennies and ‘old’ money. The shopkeeper counted out the necessary, and my smiling dad topped up the remainder. Apparently I then burst into tears as the man had ‘taken all my money’. That’s it – all I can recall of Weston… Time to create new memories?!

  23. Fancy a coach trip holiday. A driver on hand and time on board coach to see the views, then a welcome hotel. Be fun, for us.

  24. St Ives – fabulous beaches, the Leach pottery and the Tate art gallery alongside amazing restaurants.

  25. Isle of Wight because I had some wonderful childhood holidays there but have never been back as an adult!

  26. Skegness, Its a wonderful seaside place. Lots to do and the beaches are amazing!

  27. Shanklin, Isle of Wight – Daish’s Hotel. Set in a beautiful location.
This is Daish’s Holiday flagship first hotel, and one which I haven’t stayed at yet!

  28. Weston-super-Mare . I went with my parents when I was younger and would love to go again, to see if I remember any of it, as I have clear memories of going. This would gave been about 60 years ago! OMG!

  29. Torquay is a fantastic holiday destination, it has so many local places of interest to visit.

  30. We would love to visit Isle of Wight as we have never been and it’s on our bucket list😊

  31. I would be happy to visit any of the destinations offered, they are all appealling to me.

  32. Scarborough, the hotel is in a great spot with wonderful views. With a trip through the Moors then into Whitby what more do you need.

  33. We love Daish holidays – great value for money and perfect for exploring the UK.
We have been to most of their hotels and can definitely recommend them.
If we were lucky enough to win, we would love to visit either Weymouth or Eastbourne.
    They are our favourites 😍🤞

  34. Check the roster, choose your coast,
Daish’s Holidays is the ultimate host.
Eleven hotels, one goal in sight:
To make your holiday shine real bright.
I would choose the Isle of Wight 😍

  35. I’d choose Llandudno — there’s something timeless about that sweep of bay, the Great Orme watching over you, and the feeling that life slows down just enough for you to breathe again.

  36. blackpool, I have only been once when I was 4 and keep meaning to visit but never had the chance, I really want to see the tower and dance in the ballrooom

  37. We love Daish holidays, great value for
money and perfect for exploring the UK.
We have been to most of their hotels and were lucky enough to visit Kendal and Blackpool before they closed.
If we were lucky enough to win, we would use the vouchers to explore a hotel which
    we haven’t tried yet 🤞🏻

  38. I would like to take my husband back to the Isle of Wight, as we had many happy family holidays there when our children were small – on the fabulous sandy beaches, adventuring in the Blackgang Chine, and one year we came across Christmas celebrations (which included fake snow) in the lovely village of Shanklin – which our children thought was just wonderful!

  39. Somewhere near Portsmouth to visit my son who’s in the Navy & my elderly aunt & uncle who live in Roland’s Castle.

  40. I’ve been wanting to holiday in Wales for some time now, but haven’t managed it yet. Perfect opportunity here!

  41. Beautiful Torquay. I have enjoyed the seafront and it’s surrounds every time I have been there. Guaranteed to have a good time.

  42. Can’t beat a few days in Llandudno. Great walks, plenty to see, central for a drive out, easy to get to.

  43. Would love to go to Newquay – I really feel like some sun at the moment and would love to do some walking along the magnificent Cornish coast.

  44. I’d love to take a Daish Holidays in Bournemouth as I love to visit the Sandbanks area, especially Rick Stein’s restaurant!

  45. Would love to visit Torquay, went there 18 years ago and it was so picturesque

  46. It would have to be Scarborough better known in Yorkshire as Scarbados – the destination of many of my childhood Sunday School outings.

  47. Have experienced Daish’s Blackpool hotel in the past and would be very happy to return there again. Otherwise, Scarborough sounds nice.

  48. It’s about time i visited Scarborough again. It’s so close to the moors and dales too.

    1. I’d love to take my daughter to Cornwall when she’s back from university!
