The Old Chapel is an Airbnb accommodation in Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire. This Grade II listed building used to be the Providence Baptist Chapel before being divided into two separate cottages. It is situated in a narrow lane on the highest point of the town near open countryside. Free car parking is on a minor road a few metres away. It is a short walk into the town centre but very steep, so rather than walk back up it is best to use a bus or taxi.
The inside of the cottage is immaculate and tastefully decorated in an attractive style. On the ground floor is a comfy lounge with a television and DVD player. There is a cupboard with a collection of DVDs and family board games. There is also a small downstairs bathroom. Up a couple of steps is the kitchen/diner fully equipped with everything you could posssibly need in the way of cooking utensils. There is a cooker, hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washer/dryer, microwave and coffee machine. On the first floor is a bedroom with a king size bed with fluffy white towels all laid out. Next to this room is a shower room fitted with a toilet, wash hand basin and walk in shower. There is a staircase to the second floor, which has twin beds and a wash hand basin in the corner. The house has central heating, making it pleasantly warm.
The owner of the cottage made sure we felt at home with some special little touches such as fresh flowers on the table. There was a basket on the counter with a fresh baked loaf, cereals, biscuits and snacks. Also, on the counter there was tea, coffee and half a dozen eggs. There was milk and butter in the fridge.
An information pack was available with guidebooks of the local area. In fact, there was everything we needed to enjoy a perfect stay in the charming town of Bradford -on- Avon.
