A friend had recommended “Restaurante Chikito”:http://www.restaurantechikito.com/ which we discovered was very near our “hotel”:http://www.restaurantechikito.com/ , in Plaza del Campillo. At 8.30pm there were still a couple of vacant tables in the outside bar area overlooking the plaza fountain. It was obviously a popular place with more tables set up behind us for people having a formal meal. But we were just after drinks and tapas. We had a couple of glasses of vino blanco with our first complimentary tapas, a slice of Spanish omelette on bread with olives. With the second glass, we were presented with a tasty cheese on bread with a drizzle of honey. We then decided to stay and have a third round as (a) we were settled and there was so much going on around us and (b) as it was now much later we thought we may not get such a good seat somewhere else. Our third round came with a tapa of sliced pork on bread with crisps. The bill was €30.
