I don’t even know where to begin. Aer Lingus is absolutely the most terribly managed company. There are a few things they do right, the pilots the flight attendants, in person customer service agents are all wonderful. Whoever manages them is fabulous. Having said that, whoever manages the flight details is absolute embarrassment. I missed my connecting flight because the plane was late and I only missed it by a few minutes so instead of asking me what I would like to do they just booked me off to some random destination and then connected me to my city instead of an 11 hour journey, it ended up being 24 hours. They lost my luggage in another country. I still don’t have it back. I could see it with my AirTag, but they somehow can’t find it. I went ahead and paid extra to sit in an aisle and I ended up in between two men to some random destination for a three hour layover so I could get on United Airlines to get me home I think I was in Virginia. I should’ve never been in Virginia. My flight was going from Paris to Denver with an hour and a half layover in Dublin I ran through the Dublin airport to get to my flight to Denver because their plane was late but they didn’t hold the next flight for 10 extra minutes so I and numerous others wouldn’t be shuffled around and stranded and they send me to Virginia so I could sit for three hours to get on a different airline HOME no you know just ask me maybe put me in a hotel and fly me straight home the next day I don’t know reimburse me the $160 that I paid for my Uber at one in the morning with no luggage in hand…IDK maybe just start there the baggage people at Denver International Airport, as I waited in line with a bunch of other people who are in the same predicament from the same airline from the same fiasco told me that this had happened with a different flight same airline the day before. I go to put a review on Yelp and somehow it’s locked out of all of the millions of clients that they have had they have one review. It’s a one star review of course and no one else is able to do reviews. Oh I will find some places to do some reviews TRUST me! I am in hell that was the absolute worst travel day of my entire life and I should be compensated. I am speechless. Also, I got to say there’s no way I can’t mention. It’s a filthy filthy plane if you look in the bathroom on the floor, there’s poop and mold and my tray table, I had to clean myself it was covered in some still spilled goo. Everyone was lovely very helpful and kind in person. What is this company doing? I am exhausted. I genuinely was so tired that I almost laid down on the concrete as I’m waiting for my $160 Uber outside of the airport. I asked for some sort of a compensation or reimbursement for sitting in a random airport halfway across the country where I should’ve never been and they said they could potentially give me a $20 gift card or some $&@! are you kidding me? I mean even $1000 wouldn’t compensate me for the nightmare I just went through. By all means possible if you value your time and money, do not ever fly this airline. If you do…the pilots are great. The flight attendants are great but you’re at risk of being stranded with no luggage no compensation in the middle of the night potentially in a difference country or state that you hadn’t agreed to go to. Do not do any kind of layover ANYWHERE & do not check a bag so good luck with that!
