I have recently returned from my 5th visit to Cavtat in Croatia. Unfortunately the weather was unusually cool and heavy rain. However in a break from the bad weather there were some periods of sunshine. I was visiting with my girlfriends and it was there first time in the resort.

I took them to my favourite seafront cafe bar Bistro Cafe Mihael, It is such a friendly place with great service and cocktails/ We spent a nice couple of hours there, it is a fabulous spot to admire the magnificent yachts that berth in the resort. Time passed quickly watching the deckhands on one large yacht with cleaning and maintenance.

The position of this cafe bar is probably the best location on the promenade for watching the yachting activity. Many celebrities berth their vessels there when visiting the Dubrovnik area – Jon Bon Jovi was spotted on the quay front only this week.

As for the cocktails, Mario one of the waiters regulalrly wins or is runner up in Cocktail Maker of the year.

I strongly recommend you give this venue a visit when you’re in Cavtat.
