This hotel sits on one of the best beaches in The Seychelles.

Check-In
Polite staff gave us our room key and completed the normal formalities but after asking if we were OK to carry our own bags, then informed us there was no lift to our first floor room. When we got there the room was a twin, rather than the double we had booked and the fridge in the room rattled and clanked something terrible. A further visit to reception got the room changed to a King Sized bedroom.

The Room
Very spacious with a settee and writing desk. TV, fridge, mini safe, efficient air con and tea/coffee making facilities completed a well equipped room. Bathroom had a nice large shower and decent toiletries. Sadly the room looked like it needed some TLC and attention to detail e.g. The hole in the wall where the toilet roll holder should have been, the cupboard full of empty beer and water bottles.

Service
Pretty dreadful really. We asked for two things during our stay and both were such a fuss. The bulb had blown in our shower and I asked for it to be replaced and was told it could only happen whilst I was in the room???? When I returned I requested the bulb be replaced again and that I wanted a shower and was promised someone would come “right away”. It actually took them 1 hour and multiple chasing phone calls before it got done.
Although checkout was at 11am our pick up was not until 2pm and we were kindly offered a room to shower in prior to our departure. When we requested this at 1pm we were actually given a room that had not been serviced, so dirty towels from previous occupants etc. A request for clean towels seemed to throw them into confusion, three people and twenty five minutes later we got 2 towels. They have a left luggage area opposite to reception, which was just pointed at by the lady behind the desk. No assistance was offered to bring the cases from the rooms or lift them into the racks in the storage room. No lock on the door, the room was freely accessed by anyone.

Outside
A lovely pool area with loungers and beach towels provided. Easy access to the beach and sea. There is an enclosure at the end of the Taxi rank where you can see Giant Tortoises.

Food
There was a reasonable selection of food at the breakfast buffet and we also ate at their Pizzaria. Both had good quality food and the service in the Pizzaria was good.

Overall
A pleasant enough stay and all the basics were there but with some training, service ethic and attention to detail this place could be so much better. Can’t really say I could recommend this place as it seems a bit hit and miss about how good a room you will get or what the service will be like. With no lift or ready assistance, probably best avoided if you have mobility issues.
