Research reveals over half of Brits risk their gadgets on holiday

Our partner Staysure has discovered a worrying trend among British travellers: over half of those questioned put their valuable devices at risk by not taking out gadget insurance. Yet when asked to estimate the total cost of gadgets they take away on holiday, the mean amount was £692, with some Apple mobiles costing well over £1,000 when bought outright.

Furthermore, almost 1 in 5 travellers have lost or damaged a device on holiday, making the attitude to gadget insurance even more surprising with, just 28% of holiday-goers aged 55+ thinking that covering gadgets and tech ahead of a trip is important.
