New Group Visits and Private Tours of HM The King’s Royal Residences

The regional CTA coach operator members listed on Welovecoaches.com are gearing up for a right Royal summer following the release of new Royal Tours for 2024.

Next summer, a visit to Buckingham Palace includes a self-guided tour of The State Rooms, including the Throne Room, Ballroom, and Picture Gallery. Visitors can also add on a Garden Highlights Tour to their experience which explores the history of the garden, from the rose garden to the Palace tennis court, where King George VI and Fred Perry played in the 1930s.

Meanwhile, The Royal Mews, the home of all road travel arrangements for The King and members of the Royal Family, displays objects and settings from horse-and-carriages to cars will reopen from March until November.

In 2024, a highlight at Windsor Castle specifically for groups is a Private Talk and View of Queen Mary’s Dolls House. The largest and most famous dolls’ house in the world was built for Queen Mary, wife of George V, by the leading British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. The house has a fully stocked wine cellar, flushing toilets, running water, and working lifts, and is filled with thousands of objects made by the leading artists, designers, craftsmen, and manufacturers of the time.

Also bookable for groups visiting the Castle is the Private Talk “Queen Elizabeth II’s Life at the Castle” will give insights into her 70 years on the throne whilst at her favourite weekend home.

In 2024 at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, groups can follow in the footsteps of Mary Queen of Scots, of one of Scotland’s most famous and fascinating historical figures. Meanwhile, visitors can also see how Bonnie Prince Charlie brought the Palace to life in 1745, when he set up court for six weeks as he attempted to claim the British throne for his father. Visitors can also see the Great Gallery where the Prince held extravagant balls and receptions.

One of the best ways to visit the Royal Residences is by coach, either as a day trip or part of a longer tour. Relax as your driver navigates through the busy city streets to take you in comfort to your destination. Find your local, trusted coach company with We Love Coaches
