In addition to offering fully supported holidays for people living with dementia and their loved ones, our partner Dementia Adventure runs free online training sessions offering practical hints, tips and connection, to help family and friends understand dementia. They focus on the person and not the condition, looking at what someone can do and not what they cannot do. They believe that with the right support, people who are living with dementia can continue to do the things they love and stay active.
“All talk was clear and easy to understand, using not-too-technical terminologies and concepts. Lots of practical help, useful ideas, and inspiration. Brought me more confidence!”
“I found this session was very informative, it also gave us time to ask questions and interact with the group. The presentation was very professional, I have gained a lot of new ideas and there is one I need to put into action. I appreciate the trainers, they put everyone at ease and gained our trust. The tools they delivered are very helpful and enable me to cope a bit more with my husband’s dementia.”
