Why Is Saga Popular Among the Over 50s?

Silver Travel Advisor

Even if you’re not booking multiple holidays a year, it’s likely you’ll have heard the name Saga. Saga and their sister brand Titan Tours offer a varied collection of itineraries for anyone over 50. It’s globally recognised for its high-quality approach to hospitality, a testament to its 70 years of experience.

Saga services are tailored specifically to over 50s. Its customer service is excellent – it provides helpful, reassuring travel advice and is often praised for its friendly staff. Saga Holidays have always been and remain very popular among the over 50s and here we explore why by highlighting what sets them apart from other travel companies.

What sets them apart from other travel companies

Saga Holidays is a UK travel company that’s been specialising in cruise holidays for the over 50s for 70 years. Simply put, what it doesn’t know about cruise travel isn’t worth knowing.

It has a unique offering of cruises plus all-inclusive packages and group holidays that are geared towards people over 50, making them a popular choice among an older demographic.

When it comes to customer care, no question is too big for Saga. The team of Travel Consultants are readily on hand to offer advice on all aspects of your Saga Cruise booking.

Understanding the appeal of Saga Cruises to the over 50s

There are many reasons why a Saga Cruise stands apart. Its service is specifically designed for travellers over 50, with holidays that combine adventure and relaxation alongside plenty of opportunities to meet new people and try new experiences.

It has a fleet of smaller ships, specifically for creating a more sociable, intimate environment for older travellers. Expect a warm welcome matched with five-star facilities including a spa and award-winning restaurants. Saga also delivers on the small details too, with every cruise including travel insurance, an unlimited luggage allowance and port taxes so you can feel fully at ease when you’re on the high seas.

The benefits of travelling with an experienced team

Saga’s experienced onboard staff know exactly how to create an enjoyable and comfortable holiday for older travellers. They all play a part in your onboard experience and will go the extra mile to ensure all your needs are met.

Why Saga Cruises offers a wealth of options for older travellers

Saga Cruises can take you to some amazing places. From romantic river cruises through the Douro Valley to chilled-out journeys down the Italian coast.

If it’s an ocean cruise you’re looking for, Saga has two vessels – Spirit of Adventure and Spirit of Discovery – which both set sail from the UK. Making every journey as convenient as possible, Saga offers a chauffeur service for every booking so you can travel from your front door right to the ship with ease and without the worry of flying. Another bonus of a Saga cruise for older travellers is its all-inclusive offering, allowing guests to make the most of the onboard bars, cafés and restaurants.

Saga’s cruise itineraries offer a variety of options for all appetites and interests, from stargazing in the Canaries and swooning along the Rhine to Sounds of the 60s, to admiring dramatic scenery along the River Danube and taking in panoramic views of Norway’s Fjords. All the tours have been designed with older travellers in mind and can be tailored exactly to your individual tastes.

Why an all-inclusive package is a great choice for the over 50s

If you choose to book a hotel or cruise holiday with Saga, all your drinks and meals are included. There are also a few extra services that come included in the price of your Saga cruise or hotel holiday. Such as free Wifi, travel insurance on all overseas, return travel and for cruises, a chauffeur service to and from the port. Saga cruises also include on-board gratuities and service charges and there’s 24-hour room service.

Conclusion

Saga Cruises are popular among travellers over 50 because they understand the unique needs and interests of their target audience. What’s more, the Saga Difference is the company’s promise to provide a seamless service across the board to enhance your journey. Its holiday offering is hugely varied with a dynamic range of options that can connect you with amazing places and people along the way.

  1. I have arthritis of the spine, neck and a few other places and I need to change my seating throughout the day making a lot of use of a recliner. Beds are a problem that I have yet to solve.
I can walk ahort distances, stand for a ten minutes or so before I curl up but I recover if I sit or lie down for half an hour or so.
Is there any chance that there is a holiday for people like me with good food and entertainment in some form?
