We are delighted to have five copies of this CD to give away – the music is quite simply the soundtrack of our lives!
Decca Records and Classic FM, the UK’s most popular classical music station, are proud to announce the release of John Williams: A Life In Music – a brand-new album of iconic movie scores by the world’s most successful film composer, including Star Wars, Jurassic Park, E.T. and many more. The album features brand-new recordings with the London Symphony Orchestra, who recorded many of John Williams’ original soundtracks, and includes a world premiere recording of the Theme from Schindler’s List for cello.
Recorded at London’s Air Studios with the 86-piece orchestra, this epic collection of music was conducted by Gavin Greenaway. The 10-track album features Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter as well as familiar tunes from Superman, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Wars – which were all first recorded by the LSO.

2018 marks a major milestone for John Williams as the Hollywood legend celebrates 60 years working in film. Later this year, he will conduct the LSO in an extremely rare performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Friday 26 October, making it John Williams’s first performance in the UK for 20 years.
