Win a copy of Pop Goes Classical

Pop Goes Classical

To celebrate its silver jubilee, Classic FM has teamed up with Decca Records to release Pop Goes Classical – a collection of 12 new recordings of the biggest pop songs from the past 25 years. And we have 10 copies to give away to Silver Travellers!

Launched in 1992, Classic FM has transformed the country’s taste for classical music over the past quarter of a century. To mark 25 years of the UK’s most popular classical music station, each song on the album has been completely re-imagined as classical orchestral arrangements.

The album features pop favorites such as Adele’s ‘Hello’ and John Legend’s massive hit ‘All of Me’. With a prayer-like quality, ‘Hallelujah’ is a stunning ode to the late Leonard Cohen, inspired by the likes of Holst and Elgar while Whitney Houston’s all-time best selling single by a woman, ‘I Will Always Love You’ is transformed into a nostalgic Chopin-esque piano waltz.

As Classic FM presenter Bill Turnbull said: “This new album allows the listener to immerse themselves in the world’s most popular songs, honoured as the classics they already are.”
