Some trips stay with you long after you’ve unpacked your suitcase and our recent family getaway to Lisbon is definitely one of them.
We spent three wonderful days in Portugal’s vibrant capital celebrating my son-in-law’s Nan’s birthday, surrounded by family, laughter, and plenty of sightseeing. From wandering charming streets and soaking up the atmosphere to sharing meals and making memories, Lisbon delivered on every level.
What really stood out to me (both as a traveller and a travel agent) is how much there still is to see. We barely scratched the surface. Lisbon is one of those cities that invites you to slow down, return, and discover more each time and it’s now firmly back on my personal list of places I’d love to revisit.
If you’re looking for a European city that blends history, culture, scenery, and soul, whether for a celebration, a family break, or a short city escape Lisbon is an excellent choice. And if you’d like help planning your own trip, I’d be delighted to help you experience it in a way that suits you best.
