Reasons for trip

On Sunday nights many French restaurants in the Cadet area of Paris are closed. So we took pot luck and walked into Les Diamantaires. A very ordinary three course meal with a bottle of wine, water and coffee cost as much as similar but excellent dinners at local French restaurants. Service at Les Diamantaires was ok, but nothing special. Not surprisingly this large restaurant was deserted except for one other tourist couple.
Why was our meal poor value? Perhaps because of 7-day opening; perhaps because Les Diamantaires was on rue la Fayette. Whatever… be warned.
