My daughters birthday, so she and another daughter booked ourselves in for one night. Beautiful hotel in serene countryside. Had lunch on the terrace overlooking rolling hills and countryside a swim, a pampering treatment in their spa area in the afternoon and a fabulous three course meal with wine during the evening. We'd just had a family trauma and needed 24 hours to recoup and to relax. This is what we got. The hotel staff were so helpful and attentive in a very subtle way. If I am to nitpick, the only thing I would say is that their is no relaxation area in the spa, other than the waiting room and nowhere to buy a snack, other than in the golf club house. I'm told that the golf is good, but as I am not a golfer, cannot comment personally. The hotel website has a lot of offers so worth checking out.
