I was advised by my brother to visit a Warners Holidays hotel, he said they were fantastic.
We weren`t dissappointed. The food, friendly waitresses and entertainment crew were better than expected. The hotel room in the new block was very comfortable indeed with massive bed, telly and chairs and all modern fittings.
Your price includes a good breakfast either buffet style, or you could ask for something to be delivered by waitresses. I enjoyed the porridge and toast and preserves, and my husband liked the cooked breakfasts. There was a lot to choose from on a cold day, we chose to do the gardeners walk and amusing talk, followed by the history of the Hall indoors. Then we had a tasty lunch in one of the bars. I could have gone to do some decoupage or for a massage or spa treatment. Instead I stuck with my husband as he had a nasty cough. We watched some TV in our room before coming down for the shows. Brilliant singing by the Base Tones and jokes galore, and a music quiz was enjoyed, the following night an Ed Sheeran Tribute band was well attended. People were up dancing too, and there was no pressure to get up. It was all brilliant. Our favourite was the Falconry show where we got to hold several owls. They were so cool and funny, like the trainer. You could do archery or pistol shooting and other things but we wanted to relax. We visited the craft courtyard which I enjoyed and the Major Oak at Edwinstowe where there was a 15 minute walk into the forest to view it, and very friendly staff at the RSPB shop close by and a cafe.
