Agadir in January was full of surprises. It was warm, but not warm enough for swimming. It had parks, lovely little zoos within walking distance of the hotel. The taxis were cheap – legal policy, the souks colossal and the buildings, all built after the long ago earthquake, were French colonial in style, white with wrought iron gates at entrance halls. It was remarkably exotic for a lovely beach resort and we enjoyed it greatly. There’s a casino. And strikes – bringing it into the modern age. Everyone was lovely.
