This gallery contains dozens of Van Gogh's fabulous paintings from his short working life. It is an open modern gallery, easy to reach with masses of space, light and lifts. It is incredibly popular, so be prepared to queue for an hour or so or buy a ticket in advance. Even then you may have to queue a little but it is well worth the wait. In spite of the colour and brilliance, seeing his progression of work and knowing how it ended for Van Gogh is a sobering experience. Fascinating visit.
