Last weekend I attended the sixth Ukulele Festival of Great Britain. Absolutely brilliant! Most people just think of George Formby (I’m not saying that he wasn’t good!) but it was an eye opener and inspiration to hear the talented and brilliant ukulele players from all over the world who made the ukulele sing with an incredible variety of sounds. Workshops for all abilities, concerts, jamming sessions and a huge busk with 642 in the Gardens.
A wonderful, friendly atmosphere in a beautiful town.
If you belong to a local ukulele club,as I do, consider it for next year. I’m sure that you won’t regret it.
