We arrived about 1pm on a Saturday (the only day they do these) and were shown to a table at the back of the restaurant near the lavatories. We had to wait some time for our first glass of prosecco. I asked for another one later and found it had been given to one of my friends. When I commented, I was told “Well, there it is!” I asked for a spoon and was given one rather ungraciously. It took some while to attract a serer to replenish our glasses. Things improved when a new waitress appeared, who seemed to have just come on duty so was keen. People behind us boasted that they had had more than the 2 hours allowed for drinks as they had “chatted up the barman.” I wrote on TripAdvisor and received a reply suggesting I had received the service I deserved and suggesting I eat elsewhere, which I found VERY rude. I had been a customer at many events held at the restaurant but doubt if I will return. It seemed a VERY unbusinesslike reply.
