I love it here! It’s only £5.00 to get in, and there is loads to see. You start off with the most amazing tropical butterflies dancing round your head. Some of these beauties are the size of small birds, and incredibly colourful. The bird section is good too, with Scarlet Ibis and the like peering down on you. The best bit of Tropical World is that you are inside the cage with the birds and the butterflies, not outside looking in.
There are snakes too, and fish, meerkats, bats, frogs and even crocodiles!
Be aware though that it is unbearably hot inside, so try to dress appropriately if you can.
The cafe is better than it looks, and there are clean toilets in the cafe. There is a shop, and beautiful gardens right outside.
I don’t know about parking as we went on the bus from Leeds city centre, which stops opposite the entrance. (Buses 2 or 12).
