Narberth is an attractive town in Pembrokshire, Wales. It is known for its clothes and antiques shops and is well served by cafes, restaurants and pubs.
I visit several times a year and today I tried a relatively new restaurant for lunch. Ii is a Kurdish restaurant named Tooj. The reviews on another site are excellent and they really are justified.
The owners are friendly and welcoming and the service is excellent. I had my lunch in the courtyard at the back, which has a middle eastern feel to it.
There is a good selection of vegetarian dishes as well as meat dishes on the menu. I had chicken with bulgur wheat and salad, which was delicious. The bread that was served with it was very good. The limonata was refreshing and perfect for a hot day.
The only desert is baklava which was freshly cooked this morning. It was so good, I bought some extra to bring home.
If baklava isn’t to your taste, you could go around the corner to Fire and Ice which has some amazing flavoured ice creams and sorbets.
