Reasons for trip

This exhibition is housed in The Luxor Hotel (the giant black pyramid) in Las Vegas. As you 'board' they give you a boarding card. This is a potted biography of a real person who lived/died. Hold onto this, you will need it later. You will move through the ship from the engine room, to third class quarters and up to first class quarters via the famous stairway, and up to the deck. You will touch a real ice berg, and see 'the big piece'- the largest bit of the ship recovered- a side portion of the hull. You will read the stories of people who lived and died and see lots of artifacts. At the end, you will read all the names of the people who lived or died and find out if you (ie the person on your boarding card) lived or died. It is an excellent exhibition. The highlight of our trip to Vegas. It moved us both to tears.
