My friend and I enjoy a walk along the river on the quay in Exeter. The Welcome, is a small beautifully kept eating place, on the banks of the river. It has stools which look out over the river, and tables of various sizes to choose from. That food is always beautifully presented and prepared. It tends to be quite simple, in terms of salads, quiches, soups, meal of the day , etc. Newspapers are available, as are magazines for you to browse whilst waiting for food. It’s a lovely place to visit if in Exeter.
