My husband and I went to this cafe/tearoom today for a light lunch. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendly owner, who made us most welcome. The decor in the tearoom was lovely, with its shelf displaying assorted china coffee cups and its vases of fresh flowers. I ordered curried parsnip and apple soup, accompanied by a warm cheese scone, both of which were delicious! The owner told us that everything was freshly baked by his wife. My husband had a fruit scone and a cafetiere of coffee, which he really enjoyed. We will be staying in Devon for a few more days and we assured our host that we would be back to sample more of the delicious fare on the menu!
