The Refreshment Rooms is a Bar / Restaurant which is hidden away on the banks of the Mersey in Rock Ferry, Birkenhead.
Once you have found The Refreshment Rooms you will return time and time again.
The food is always amazing and such brilliant prices. They also have Over 60s menu, which is the same as the normal menu but smaller portions – still enough to fill you up though.
The staff are so friendly and helpful and the place is absolutely spotless – even before the Covid-19 rules came into play.
This was a run down eyesore until the new owners came in and overhauled it. It is truly worth a visit if you are visiting Liverpool or the Wirral. You will have to book in advance (again even before Covid-19 rules) as it is more often than not extremely busy.
One more thing, they do a “salt and vinegar sauce” which, with the fish and chips is beyond divine.
