It was with some trepidation that we took our friends to the Red Lion in Broughton, North Lincs. They were used to good food, living in France. But we enjoyed a fabulous meal in the unpretentious surroundings. My mother had been with her husband at lunch time and enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately there was a huge party of children with their parents so it was rather noisy, but we didn’t let it put us off. My curry was tasty and our friends meals were very good especially the starters. The wine was lovely too, and the service very friendly.
