Health / Spa

Booked a spa break at the Park Royal Hotel as a birthday present for my daughter. It was easy to find just off M56, large car park with disabled spots opposite the entrance to hotel. Very polite, helpful staff as you would expect. Our one night spa break was booked for Sunday and Monday (Before Christmas) with treatments being taken on Monday. The cost (less than £200 for the two of us) was amazing considering it included an allowance of £28 each towards dinner and a full buffet breakfast as well as a treatment each (and there was a good choice) and full use of the spa facilities from arrival to departure. Late check out was an extra option at £10 but it was worth paying and a lot cheaper than other similar hotels we’ve stayed at. Standard room was great and what you would expect, there were plenty of spare pillows and towels. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced as had lunch on Monday which was our choice at an extra cost. Dinner was booked in the main restaurant but we changed it to eat in the bar which had a more homely style, the food was excellent and the menu choices were great. Plenty of room at tables, where you could site a wheelchair or high chair and they were well spaced out. The bar area was cosy and welcoming, there was plenty of seating if you just wanted a drink and you weren’t rushed when eating. Buffet breakfast in the main restaurant gave an excellent choice of both hot and cold food and again you didn’t feel rushed. I would recommend this hotel either for the spa break or just accommodation when visiting the Manchester area or travelling further and having a break en-route. This hotel is excellent and we can’t recommend it enough, we will be doing another spa break there in the summer.
