We had decided to book The Old Quay House, in order to celebrate my mums 80th birthday. The instructions as to how to find the property were ok, but finding it on the sat nav was the best, due to its location which was literally on the edge of the quay, it's back wall literally in the water. Such a stunning location. We went inside to find a downstairs ensuite bedroom which looked out onto the water. Upstairs was a gorgeous open plan lounge diner kitchen. Talk about WOW FACTOR! The views were to die for! There was so much to look at out over the estuary, the boats on their moorings, the ferries passing by. I decided that even if the weather was bad, just to sit in the window and take in the views, would be great. The standard of the house was very good, you really felt home from home with dishwasher, washing machine, pots and pans, literally everything you'd need for a great self catering holiday. Upstairs were a further three bedrooms, and again all had lovely views. The property had parking on the quay, which was essential because otherwise it would have been hard to park. Being in such a central location meant that the town was on the doorstep. There were also loads of boat trips to go on literally on the doorstep. We all loved our time there, and would certainly have no reservations about returning next year. A very successful break enjoyed by all of our family, both old and young!
