The Mustard Seed is a small cafe which is located very close to the hospital in sidmouth. It is a cafe run by local people who attend churches in the locality, and is a really friendly place to go. I think if you were a person on their own it would be a safe easy place to enjoy a coffee, or simple meal such as soup with a roll.
The variety of cakes on offer were good. All of them had been homemade, and we were spoilt for choice. I had fruit flapjack which was delicious, and my mum had fruit cake. They do a variety of teas, and I enjoyed an Earl Grey. Mum had a hot chocolate, that too was good.
The shop sells cards, books, and small gifts too.
Because of its locality to the hospital, its ideal for people who have an appointment, or for people like myself who are waiting for a person with an appointment.
The prices are very reasonable. Our bill for the two drinks and two cakes wad just £6.50! It has a calming atmosphere, and is well worth a visit.
