The Hoxton is situated in Shoreditch, close by to Liverpool street station and is a great place to stop in when visiting London.
The hotel itself is vibrant and busy, with a real buzz about the place. The bar is public, however this finishes bang on time as advertised and wasn’t a problem for us.
On arriving we were not sure whether it was a hotel or not initially, there is a large reception and lounge on entering, this, however is by the main public bar so can be quite deceptive if you have never been here before.
Reception was quick and helpful, printing us a map of the area off as we checked in.
Access to the room is via lift, a key card is needed, once inside the hotel the rooms are bright, funky and great, a writing desk, leather chair, Free WiFi, plenty of power points, free water in the fridge and breakfast bags which you leave on the door handle for all guests.Tea and coffee were provided too.
The floors are wooden, and looked great with the rest of the decor and the beds were comfortable and we had a good nights sleep.
The bathrooms were large and the showers great as were the complimentary soaps.
Downstairs I liked the glass roofed area with the trees in it, great to have a meal in whatever the weather.
We had breakfast at the Hoxton grill, the food was fresh made and delicious, all in all, well worth a visit and definitely on our list of hotels to return to.
The only downside, if that is what you would call it, is the lack of space downstairs exclusively for hotel guests, from my point of view, you would miss the buzz were this to be introduced.
