Ok. Lets get serious about pub food.
Every county in the UK has a local pub that dishes up food of the highest quality.
It will be impossible for me to discover them all, but here’s one for starters.
It is c.250 miles from where I live and it’s called The Honingham Buck at 29 The Street, Honingham, Nr Norwich, Norfolk. For those who have a satnav and want to find it immediately, the postcode is NR9 5BL.
The current owners have only been there for a couple of years, but my goodness they certainly know there stuff.
I advise you to book a table rather than turn up on speck (Tel 01603 880393), because if you don’t there is a chance you might be disappointed.
I love good food. I am not a connoisseur, but I certainly know good food when I taste it, and The Honingham Buck serves it up in spades.
The August Menu includes 9 Nibbles for Sharing, 6 Delicious Starters, 5 Main Courses, and 5 Lip Smacking Desserts.
There is little point in me describing each of them. It will only drive you mad with hunger and desire.
So I am going to leave you now just to think about it!
Bon appetite!
P.s. The staff were great!
