This is a great day out for all the family. It was held over two days in the lovely grounds of Ragley Hall (approx. 8 miles from Stratford-on-Avon and near Alcester). Ragley Hall is the home of the Marquess and Marchioness of Hertford and their children. The house and grounds {400 acres) are open nearly all year round to the public and there are quite a few events held here on this thriving country estate.
We visited the opening Saturday and were quite surprised how large and well organised it was. There were 70 local producers, some located in two large marques, craft stalls, kids cookery and chef demos, forager walks and a great choice of hot food stalls and bars. Also some entertaining Singers to enjoy whilst eating some of the delicious food on offer. The weather was perfect over the weekend and the cars came rolling in. Plenty of assessable parking available.
So much to sample at this friendly festival and we made some good buys of quality food and drink. Already looking forward to the next one.
