The Fleece at Bretforton is a unique pub. Owned by the National Trust, it is virtually unchanged since it was built in the early 15th century. Some nights the pub is lit only by candlelight. Every night it serves real ale and home brewed cider. Food is fabulous and reasonably priced – but its popularity is so great, booking is essential.this is really a true village pub, bursting with activities and folk music nights. Outside in the barn there is another bar for the many concerts the pub hosts. This is a staggeringly successful pub in a beautiful village setting – I cannot recommend it enough. I haven’t been in the summer, but the pub’s orchards have picnic tables outside for pub goers to dine outside.
This pub is a great discovery for me and it won’t be my last visit.
