This was our first time in Vegas so accept that we cannot compare it to other hotels in the city but we have stayed in many hotels of this level in other American cities.
At first sight the hotel looked good and our room spacious. We have no complaints about the room it is clean and comfortable with a good view overlooking the Bellagio fountains. However, we were told our baggage would be brought to our room. We waited two hours before it arrived (and we did ring to remind them we had not got our bags). We were waiting as we wanted to change into summer clothes rather than the warmer ones we had travelled in as the temperature was in the 90s. Later we found we had only been issued with one key card and asked the following morning for another. We were assured another would be brought to the room. Three hours later we went down to reception and waited until they finally produced another. I feel a hotel of this level should be more helpful and efficient.
Our other complaint is about the swimming pools. They are far too small for the number of guests and there is no shade – surely they could invest in a few umbrellas. Both pools had nowhere at all to lie down, sun or shade, after 11am and it was not even a weekend.
Good points are the position on the strip and the room quality. The buffet brunch was also very comprehensive and enjoyable but I would not recommend this hotel unless you only want one room key, do not intend to use the pools and like carrying your own luggage.
