This hotel is really something special, in a really good location within a short walk of Yorkminster and unusually offers free parking. The hotel is a historic buliding and the Churchill theme is observed throughout the hotel with many paintings etc. Staff are very helpful and friendly. If you are a smoker you can take advantage of a really cute smoking hut in the grounds with comfortable seating. We stayed in a superior room and it was tastefully decorated and really clean, it was also well stocked with coffee, tea and water. The only downside was that the room got very hot at night even with the window open. I recommend taking advantage of the dinner, bed and breakfast offer – the food really is superb! All in all a great hotel!
