I had read some good things about the afternoon tea here, so treated my daughter. We were seated at a a small table not big enough for afternoon tea at all. We were in such close proximity to the table next to us it felt we were all dining together.
We were greeted politely and offered our tea. I had royal blend which was delicious. The stand came out with 6 very cold finger sandwiches with hardly any filling on the bottom tier and 2 brioche rolls on the middle tier. Small cakes were on the top tier. We were told that when a tier was clear we could have the scones.
It was all so cold. The cream in the mini Victoria sponge was like ice cream, not pleasant.
The building was lovely but for £38 I would not recommend this I am afraid. I have had better from a high street chain.
