We were lucky to catch a late booking coach trip to Tenby for 5 days in August 2020.
Our hotel was situated just at the top of the footpath above the rock so an easy and flattish walk into the main town and shopping area.
Much of it was as I remembered from my teenage years. Still a pretty town with lots of cobbled streets and alleyways. Small independent shops and businesses as well as restaurants and café bars plus normal pubs.
Covid made it a little difficult for anyone who needed to eat in places and there were queues at every restaurant or cafe to book a table or hope one was available.
We were on half board so we stuck to normal pubs and always managed to get a place to sit each evening.
We found Tenby easy to explore but it is hilly in a few places. The beaches are beautiful and the surrounding scenery is stunning.
We took the bus to Saundersfoot one day and had included excursions to St. David’s and Narberth as well as the city of Carmarthen.
We would definitely go back again in the future.
