We stayed at the Sub Karakoy hotel in Istanbul before heading out on our cruise. After much research we settled on the hotel primarily for its location and the price. We arrived quite late, and we warmly welcomed to the hotel, which is located on a busy road, but the room was surprisingly quiet.
Our room was small and quirky (hooks rather than wardrobe), fine for one night or a weekend, and the price was excellent for the quality of the hotel. We had breakfast included, which had plenty of choice and the breakfast room itself was lovely and atmospheric.
The best thing about the hotel was the location, Karakoy neighborhood, with its trendy bars and restaurants and a short walk of around 15/20 mins across the bridge from the main tourist areas.
