We were meeting old friends, who are home from working in Malawi, and we wanted a place to meet that would satisfy people of our age (65), our friends (40s) and their two young children (both under 10). Stratford-Upon-Avon turned out to be the perfect place. We went to the butterfly park, walked up Henley Street (Shakespeare’s birthplace (allegedly)), fed to birds on the river, strolled along the riverbank and even went on the big wheel! As we drove from Kent we stayed overnight and found the Macdonald Swans Nest Hotel to be a perfect location. We will definitely go back!
