My husband and I recently stayed at this excellent guest house when attending the Caravan and Motorhome show at the NEC. Having searched for the big chain hotels near site and finding their prices to be more than we were prepared to pay, I happily came across some excellent reviews of Station Approach B&B.
It is well placed, five minutes walk from the shops and restaurants of Solihull and only ten minutes drive from the NEC. Following advice from the owner, the back road route to the exhibition centre was very easy as it avoided most of the motorway traffic of the M42.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They have single beds and whilst our en-suite bathroom was only small, the water was hot and plentiful. Full English breakfast was delicious and plentiful, cooked by our charming host.
Free Wi-fi is available in all rooms, but it was rather slow and temperamental at the time of our visit, but as we only needed to do quick e-mail checks , it was not a problem.
Tea and coffee making facilities are not available in the room, however there is an area downstairs that you are advised can be used to make tea and coffee at anytime free of charge.
I would highly recommend if needing somewhere reasonably priced, friendly, comfortable and exceptionally clean, as well as being conveniently close to the NEC.
