Reasons for trip

The Stag is opposite Breckland Lodge that I reviewed earlier. It is part of the lodge but it is not necessary to stay there to enjoy the bistro.

When in the area I have met friends there for coffee or lunch. Always a delicious menu. Well apart from a very strange celery, apple, cheese soup!

Whilst staying we had breakfast there. Papers to read and quiet.

What is so good is that you just choose what you want, whether it be delicious porridge with fruit compote for under £3, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for about £5, toast or the full Monty!!

We had a celebration supper there one evening and, if anyone, was not hungry enough to have the full menu a snack could be eaten alongside the other diners.

I’d thoroughly recommend this place.
