We have spent 3 holidays at this hotel and been very happy with it all. We are booked for 2018 already and look forward to it.
It is central to the village and there is a Spar supermarket directly opposite and the Penken gondola is next door.
There is a gradual slope up the village, but nothing arduous, but worth bearing in mind. However if you are not able to walk well, you are not going to go to Austria as there are many hills to trek up.
The best value we have found it to buy a Ziller card which allows one journey up and one journey down the local mountain lifts each day in the summer. But you can also use it unlimited on the local railway that goes from one end of the valley to the other every 30 minutes. A wonderful service. There are also plentiful buses.
To return to the Stress, the food is good and plenty of it, we are vegetarians, but we do eat fish and find no problems getting food to eat. The service is excellent as in all Austrian hotels.
The beds are comfortable and everywhere is spotlessly clean.
There is huge spa downstairs and a good sized indoor swimming pool, plus a garden for sunbathing.
Marvellous views from most rooms.
A really good hotel in our opinion.
