Reasons for trip

We had a fab week in Sorrento prior to travelling going South. We stayed on the edge of the very busy centre. It was August therefore absolutely heaving, pedestrians throbbing the streets, shops & bars bustling. If you have limited or compromised mobility not the best time of year to go. The restaurants on the little port area are the best we found. Sorrento is also a great place for trips to Capri (if you go there walk around the island its wonderful. The town we found to be a bit Disney). We also took easy train rides to Pompeii and Herculaneum.
