A beautiful quiet place. Sykes cottages can take you to peace and quiet, with many canal walks and your dog will enjoy the long walk with you. You can look at the barges passing you by with their colourful pots of flowers growing on the roof with many a red geranium on display.

Look for all the wildlife, birds, butterflies, wild flowers and if you are very lucky … even an otter, but only at certain times of the year. All the walks are flat which is a bonus for someone like myself with Arthritis.

We had no problem with a mobile phone signal in our cottage or a nearby shop for some nice crusty bread to have with a cheese or two.

A relaxing and enjoyable break.
