The Sofitel Gatwick was very easy to find and extremely convenient for the airport. The entrance is very impressive and the reception desk staff were friendly. We were delighted with our room and bathroom which were modern and comfortable and decorated to a high spec. We were concerned that it may be noisy with the aeroplanes and people checking in and out day and night but it wasn't. The bed was extremely comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We ate in the Brasserie which had a limited menu but was enough for us and the food was excellent. The staff were extremely attentive. We could have used one of the other restaurants but they were expensive and more than we wanted. The following day we walked across a walk way from the hotel to the airport which took less than 10 mins. A very relaxing way to start our holiday.
